Faridabad murder case: Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar assures stringent action against accused

Nikita Tomar, a final-year commerce student was shot dead in broad daylight on Monday outside her college by a man who first tried to shove her into his car.

Faridabad: Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Tuesday assured that stringent action will be taken against the brutal murder of a 21 year old student in Ballabhgarh, Faridabad, on Monday.

Manohar lal Khattar told reporters in Hisar "The culprit in the Ballabhgarh incident has been arrested. Strict action will be taken against him. No criminal will be spared," 

Nikita Tomar, a final-year commerce student was shot dead in broad daylight on Monday outside her college by a man who first tried to shove her into his car.

Nikita had gone to take an exam when she was shot dead.

The man who shot her was seen in a video of the incident, captured on a CCTV camera outside the college.

Following the incident, Touseef along with his accomplice Rehan fled in a car

The victim who was shot on the spot was immediately rushed to a hospital where she succumbed to her bullet wound.

According to Ballabhgarh assistant commissioner of police (ACP) Jaiveer Rathi, Touseef and Rehan were apparently waiting for Nikita in a car. "Nikita had come to college for an exam. Accused, Touseef, whom she knew, tried to speak to her and then shot her," he said.

As per reports, police apprehended the attacker Touseef and his accomplice, Rehan, and have sent them to two days police custody.

According to Ballabgarh ACP Jaiveer Rathi, Touseef and Rehan, were apparently waiting in the car for Nikita to come out of the college. 

Meanwhile, students of Agarwal College have been staging a protest on Mathura road on the National Highway against the law and order situation in Ballabgarh.
