New Delhi: Former National Security Adviser Shiv Shankar Menon criticized the government for its stand on CAA, NRC and Article 370 on Kashmir.

“We have gifted our adversaries platforms from which to attack us,” Menon said during an event jointly organized by the Constitutional Conduct Group and Karwan-e-Mohabbet in Delhi.

Calling the government stands on CAA as "self-inflicted diplomatic goal" Menon said CAA has ended isolating India from the international community.

“There has been no meaningful international support for this series of actions, apart from a few committed members of the diaspora and a ragtag bunch of Euro MPs from the extreme right,” Menon said.

Menon said that India through such actions was violating Article 21 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights by bringing in CAA and revoking the special status of Kashmir.
