Former Union Leader Sharad Yadav Dies At 75 In Delhi

As his health started detoriating, he was rushed to the Gurugram’s Fortis Memorial Research Institute.

DELHI : Sharad Yadav, the Former Union Minister and one of the most famous and prominent socialist leaders, took his last breath on 12th January, Thursday. He died at the age of 75 at his own residence in Delhi. 

As his health started detoriating, he was rushed to the Gurugram's Fortis Memorial Research Institute. A statement was released by the concerned medical authorities, his pulse had stopped working and no blood pressure could be recorded during the examination. 

The allotted doctors tried their best, however, Mr Yadav could not be revived and was declared dead at 10:19pm, added the statement. Sharad Yadav was a elected in the Lok Sabha for seven times and thrice in Rajya Sabha. 

He was the first ever national president of Janata Dal since 2003 to 2016. Mr Yadav initiated as student leader, and later engaged himself with the anti-congress camp. He was a former union minister in various governments. 

Sharad Yadav was an appointed minister n the Atal Bihari Vajpayee government in the later half of 90s and the VP Singh government in 1989. The leader formed the Loktantrik Janata Dal in the year 2018. 

PM Narendra Modi tweeted on his demise and expressed his sadness. In the tweet, Modi recalls his conversations with Sharad Yadav. During his entire journey, he distinguished himself as an MP and Minister, added the PM.

Several other dignitaries from political fraternity tweeted after the news including, Bihar's Deputy Chief Minister, Sushil Modi, Congress Leader Mallikarjun Kharge.

Lalu Prasad Yadav through a video message from his hospital bed, stated that, even though there were several clashes between him and Sharad Yadav, but the relationship never turned bitter. Lalu Prasad Yadav is currently in Singapore as he has recently undergone a kidney transplant.
