Delhi: Four people have been arrested for allegedly listing
Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Varanasi office for 'sale' on the OLX website.
According to police "The accused had taken a picture of
Modi's "Jansampark Kaaryalay (public relations office)" who represents
Varanasi in the Lok Sabha and put it "up for sale" on the OLX website
for Rs 7.5 crore."
Amit Pathak, Varanasi Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) said that Modi's Parliamentary office is situated in the Jawahar Nagar, locality of the city which comes under the Bhelupur police station.
He further said, "We received information that someone
has taken a picture of the Prime Minister's office and uploaded it on the OLX
website. Following that, an FIR was filed and an investigation on the matter
has been started. The police already detained the person who did this."
The OLX advertisement had listed the Parliamentary
office of the Prime Minister as a villa with four rooms and four bathrooms with
a carpet area of 6,500 sqft. The advertisement reportedly showed the location
of the office in Krishna Dev Nagar, however, it is located in Jawahar Nagar

nabbed four people involved in putting up the post on OLX.
The seller in the OLX ad has been identified as
Lakshmikant Ojha.
Investigation in the matter is on. Further information is awaited.
