AHMEDABAD: In what may be termed as a shocking incident, a man in Gujarat's Ahmedabad city died after he sealed his private parts while having intercourse with his girlfriend instead of using a condom.
According to reports, the incident took place on June 22 when the man Salman Mirza, who hails from Ahmedabad's Fatehwadi area, went to a hotel with the woman. After reaching the hotel, both of them consumed drugs and thereafter decided to have a sexual encounter. During the intercourse, the couple came up with the idea to seal off Salman's private parts to avoid pregnancy as they did not have any condoms. He was found in an unconscious state with another person known to him. The person eventually brought him home. His condition deteriorated with time after which he was taken to a hospital, in which he succumbed to his injuries.
A news report in a leading national daily said since the couple did not have any protection, they took the decision of applying the adhesive on Salman's private parts to make sure that she does not get pregnant. They often used to carry the adhesive (which was applied on Salman's private parts) for intoxication-related purposes. The chemical damaged Salman's organs and he died of multi-organ failure, the news report said.
A case of accidental death has been registered after a relative of the deceased registered a complaint with the police. A senior police official said police were waiting for the report of the deceased's viscera sample which was sent to a forensic laboratory for examination. Salman, who was the sole earning member in his family, is survived by his elderly parents, two sisters and many other relatives.
