Gurugram- A man in Gurugram, Haryana thrashed six members of his neighbor's family, including women and children, after one of them named his pet dog "Kutta" instead of "Tommy."

This heinous incident occurred in Jyoti Park, in the Cybercity area of Gurugram.

Exasperated by the violent nature of the pet dog, Sudhir, a resident of the area asked the pet owner, who is his neighbor to keep the dog chained. The pet owner was angered by the suggestion his neighbor made and even more infuriated as Sudhir called his pet dog "Kutta" instead of calling it by its name "Tommy."

Soon after, an altercation erupted, culminating in a bloody brawl between the two families. The incident was caught on video by a resident of the area, which shows the pet owner assaulting Sudhir and his family with rods and sticks.

Sudhir's family had at least six members who were severely injured.

Sudhir told the media that he asked his neighbor to chain his dog because it used to chase and children attempting to bite them.

Sudhir has lodged a police complaint against the pet owner in the Gurugram police station, and an investigation has begun.

This isn't the first time in Gurugram that a bloody brawl has broken out over a pet. In the past, a dispute over pet dogs has resulted in violent fights between neighbors. In March, neighbors reportedly blocked a family from entering their apartment complex for allegedly feeding stray dogs. The family's neighbors were enraged that they were feeding the dogs because one of them had recently bitten a man.

In another incident, a dog along with its owner was arrested by Indore Police on charges of flouting COVID-19 protocol. The incident occurred while the man was walking his dog in Indore's Palasia neighborhood. The police force was on patrol at that time to ensure that the Covid curfew was being observed. The arrested man is a businessman who was apprehended by the cops while walking his dog, which the cops declared to be in breach of Covid protocol. The arrest of the man and his dog for taking a walk outside had sparked outrage among animal rights activists.
