Bhopal: A nurse in Madhya Pradesh, Prafullit Peter, has survived COVID-19 after successfully battling the disease despite having only one lung. She recovered in fourteen days.

Sources said that the nurse, who was undergoing treatment at the Tikamgarh Civil Hospital, in Madhya Pradesh had lost one of the lungs in her childhood. After an accident in her childhood, she was operated upon and her lung was removed.

As per the sources, the 39-year-old nurse came to know of the condition only in 2014 when she underwent a chest X-ray.

The nurse was posted in the COVID ward at the Tikamgarh hospital when she caught the infection. After testing positive for COVID, many people were worried that the battle would be particularly hard for her. However, staying in home isolation for fourteen days, the nurse recovered from the virus.
