'Har Ghar Tiranga': PM Modi Urges People To Hoist Tricolour At Home Between August 13-15

In Assam, the target is to cover 80 lakh rural and urban households including the government and private institutions, schools, and commercial establishments.

New Delhi: In order to strengthen 'Har Ghar Tiranga', Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday, urged people to hoist the tricolor at their homes between 13-15 August.

Taking to the micro-blogging site Twitter, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, said, ''This year, when we are marking Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, let us strengthen the Har Ghar Tiranga Movement. Hoist the Tricolour or display it in your homes between 13th and 15th August. This movement will deepen our connect with the national flag.''

PM Modi also shared information on the official dialogue regarding the adoption of the tricolor as the national flag on Twitter and tweeted a picture of the first tricolor hoisted by India's first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru.

The government has planned to launch the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign on the 75th anniversary of India's independence.

Along with the rest of the country, 80 lakh national flags will be hoisted in houses, offices, and commercial establishments across Assam from August 13 to August 15, 2022. This will be done as part of the Har Ghar Tiranga Programme.
