Headmaster Gets Fired After Kissing Student In Karnataka School

The action came following a video of the headmaster holding the girl student and kissing her in his chamber surfaced on social media and went viral.

Mysore: Headmaster R.M. Anilkumar has been fired after he was found kissing a girl student in Kote town of Mysuru in Karnataka in a disgraceful incident.

Headmaster Anilkumar was caught red-handed while kissing a girl student in his chamber.

An emergency meeting has been convened by the management committee of the private school and subsequently, they decided to sack the headmaster with immediate effect.

Police said on 29 January that a case of sexual assault has been lodged against the headmaster by the Education Department under the Prevention of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

Strict action against the accused teacher has also been assured by Block Education Officer Chandrakanth and Deputy Director of Public Instruction Ramachandre Urs.

The action came following a video of the headmaster holding the girl student and kissing her in his chamber surfaced on social media and went viral. The video was secretly shot by the students through the window.

This incident has not gone down well in the state with many left in shock and some getting outraged. The villagers and the students demanded strict action be taken against the accused headmaster.

The Block Education Officer (BEO) said that the conduct of the teacher has embarrassed the Education Department and also added that he has lodged a case of sexual assault against the headmaster and sought action based on the complaints of villagers.

The case has been registered at the H.D. Kote police station and the police have said that the investigation has been taken up by them.

Sources have said that the police are verifying the complaint and the accused headmaster will be taken into custody for questioning.
