New Delhi: India gave a befitting reply to China after Indian troops unfurled the tricolour flag at the Galwan Valley in Ladakh on the occasion of New Year.

Social media got flooded with pictures and videos of the Indian army troops hoisting the national flag. This came just a day after Chinese state media, via a tweet, showed PLA troops hoisting their flag at Galwan Valley.

It seems as if these pictures coming from the Galwan Valley have exposed the PLA's propaganda in regards to the alleged unfurling of the Chinese flag in the Galwan Valley in Ladakh on the eve of New Year's Day.

The Chinese propaganda video depicted a different story claiming that PLA troops had unfurled the Chinese flag in Galwan Valley on New Year.

The video was captioned as, "China's national flag rises over Galwan Valley on the New Year Day of 2022."

The video also signified the importance of this flag as it was once flown over Tiananmen Square in Beijing.

It is a known fact that China does not have independent media and it is merely a mouthpiece for the Chinese Government. Beijing uses the media to spread its propaganda in a subtle way.

The Chinese media also has a reputation for spreading misinformation to woe its citizens so that Beijing can push forward its agenda.

A few days ago, the Chinese renamed 15 places in Arunachal Pradesh to which India gave a witty rebuttal by saying that inventing names does not change the fact.

Of late, Chinese President Xi Jinping has adopted a rather hawkish policy in Arunachal Pradesh, stationing additional PLA troops and constructing infrastructure along the LAC.

Beijing has pursued an expansionist policy in the international arena and it can be reflected through their policy as well as rhetoric.
