NEW DELHI: On Monday, the Indian Railways completely cancelled 230 trains due to the requirement for maintenance and operational work for the preservation and safety of the infrastructure. The railway department reported that 50 additional trains that were supposed to leave on December 12 were only partially cancelled.

According to sources, Tickets reserved via the IRCTC website will instantly be cancelled, and a refund will be started in the users' accounts. The reservation counter must be visited in order to receive a refund for customers who purchased tickets in person.
