Indian Railways to Run 211 Special Trains to Clear the Festive Season Rush

There will be special trains for railway routes including Darbhanga, Azamgarh, Saharsa, Bhagalpur, Muzaffarpur, Firozpur, Patna, Katihar, and Amritsar, among others

NEW DELHI: The Indian Railways has taken some major decisions for the festive season this year in order to clear the extra rush of passengers. The announcement of running 211 special trains during the festive season was made by the authorities on Tuesday where it was mentioned that a total number of 2561 trips of 211 special trains will be available in pairs till Chhath puja.

To ensure the orderly entry of passengers in unreserved coaches, the Indian Railways has also decided to establish lineups at terminus stations under the supervision of RPF personnel. The Indian Railways added another facility for the festive season where the passengers will get access to free food. However, it is only accessible in luxury trains like Duronto, Shatabdi and Rajdhani Express.

Additionally, in order to guarantee passenger safety, the authorities have chosen to station RPF personnel at important stops. To guarantee that trains run smoothly, officers are assigned at busy stations on Emergency Duty. To respond as quickly as possible to any train service disruption, staff are posted in various sections.

•To respond as quickly as possible to any train service disruption, staff are posted in various sections.

•Trains with platform numbers are announced regularly and promptly, thanks to measures taken in this regard.

•The staff of the Security and Vigilance Department is vigilantly looking out for and closely observing any irregularities, such seat cornering, overcharging, and touting behaviour, among others.

•General guidelines for keeping platforms, stations, retiring rooms, and waiting areas clean have been released by Zonal Headquarters.

•Major stations have on-call medical staff available.

•Additionally, a paramedic crew and an ambulance are accessible.
