Jodhpur High Court Grants Man 15-Day Parole Only to Make Wife Pregnant

NEW DELHI: Till now we have heard of paroles granted to to lifers or prisoners who have been sentenced to life imprisonment.

However, this parole shall be in the books to law as reference as the Jodhpur High Court in fresh Rajasthan made an extraordinary decision.

The Jodhpur High Court has recently ordered the release of a man on 15-day parole to become his wife's mother. The Jodhpur High Court bench of Justices Sandeep Mehta and Farzand Ali agreed that the prisoner's wife's sexual and emotional needs were being affected by his imprisonment.

Notably, a prisoner who was sentenced to life imprisonment was granted parole for extraordinary reasons. That's for 15 days. With this, the decision of the High Court is now under discussion.

On this occasion the High Court cited Hindu scriptures, including the Rig Veda. It also cites the doctrines of Judaism, Christianity and Islam to grant 15 days parole to 34-year-old Nandalal, a prisoner.

His wife, Rekha, became pregnant. The High Court ruled that having children for the sake of lineage was identified by religious philosophies, Indian culture and various legal aspects. It stated that "the right to satisfaction can be exercised through marital life. It also has the effect of normalizing the offender. It also helps to change the behavior of the convict-prisoner."
