GANDHINAGAR: An unfortunate occurrence resulted in the death of a person who was receiving treatment for drug and alcohol addiction after being viciously beaten by a group of seven individuals.

The de-addiction centre manager and seven other people reportedly carried out the gruesome murder after brutally torturing the prisoner for about 90 minutes.

Hardik Suthar, the deceased guy, was slain and cremated, and his family was informed that he passed away naturally as a result of a sharp and rapid drop in blood pressure.

But once authorities searched the centre's CCTV footage, the truth came to light.

When local police opened an investigation two days ago after learning that an inmate named Hardik Suthar had been killed and his death had been misdiagnosed as natural, they discovered the gruesome crime.

About six months ago, Suthar was accepted into the Jyona de-addiction facility, which is administered by a charitable trust with roots in Surat.

"On February 17, Suthar attempted to sever his wrist while in the restroom. Sandeep Patel, the facility manager, and seven to eight more individuals then bound his hands and legs and beat him mercilessly for about two hours”, according to Mehul Patel, an inspector with the B-division police station, who is looking into the incident.

Two of them even used lighters to burn a segment of the pipe, spilling the hot liquid on Suthar's privates and scorching his pubic hair, " added he.

According to Patel, Sandeep turned to such heinous conduct in order to seize control of the firm. They also told the other patients that if they acted out in any way, like Suthar did in the restroom, they would suffer the same fate.

Sandeep and others drove Suthar's body to a private hospital after he passed away, but the doctor there would not let them check him in.

The next morning, they informed Suthar's uncle that he had passed away from low blood pressure after keeping the body in Sandeep's car all night. Jitu Patel, Jainish, Gaurav Macchimar, Mahesh Rathore, Jayesh Chaudhary, and Nitin Chaudhary were also detained by police along with Sandeep.
