Aligarh: In a tragic yet shocking incident, a 30-year-old man was shot dead in Aligarh over Rs 200. The incident happened in a crowded market in Aligarh's Civil Lines area. The man was killed after he allegedly refused to lend Rs 200 to an acquaintance.

The deceased is identified as one Ansar Ahmed. A father of three, Ahmed owned a tyre repair shop at Shamshad Market under Civil Lines Police Station. He was killed by one of his acquaintances, who is a drug addict, on Saturday. However, the accused, Asif managed to escape from the spot of incidence.

According to the Police, the accused, Asif approached the deceased to lend his motorcycle. However, Ahmed turned down his request.

The accused again approached the deceased, this time to lend some money. As soon as Ahmed refused, Asif shot Ahmed with a countrymade pistol. He then grabbed Ahmed's motorcycle and fled.

The investigation by the police is underway.
