Mishti Mukherjee passes away due to kidney failure

It was her father who confirmed the news to sources.

Actress Mishti Mukherjee, who marked her brilliance in several films and music videos, breathed her last at Bengaluru on Friday night.

According to the actress' family, she was on Kito diet for some time and due to which both her kidneys had failed, which resulted to her death.

As per reports, the actress is survived by her mother and brother.

However, her last rites were performed on Saturday morning. 

It was her father who confirmed the news to sources.

Mishti's father said "Mishti Mukerjee was very very thin & she was on keto diet she was suffering from 6 to 7 days she was taken to a hospital too her cremation was done today," he said. "Her mother is still in deep shock by her passing away..," 

Earlier in 2013, she featured in a special appearance dance number in "Main Krishna Hoon" 

The actress also made her Bollywood debut as a lead actress in Subhash Ghai's "Kaanchi: The Unbreakable" which was released in 2014. She also potrayed the title role in the film.

 In her short career span, the bengali actress was also seen in films such as "Great Grand Masti" (2016), "Begum Jaan" (2017) and Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi" (2019).
