Karnataka: The police in Karnataka arrested three persons including a
mother of 10-year old boy who was murdered and kept the incident secret in
February last.
Speaking with reporters Bengaluru DCP South East Srinath Mahadev Joshi said that after maintaining silence of six month the mother of the deceased boy filed a missing dairy with police.
He said that the accused identified as the friend of the mother, his girlfriend and the mother her-self. Police arrested the trio on August 27 soon after the complaint and Mico Layout police has carried out an investigation into the case.
The police officials informed that during investigation they have recovered a plastic pipe which was used to assault the boy and the car used to shift the body of the boy.
He said that according to preliminary investigation the main accused reportedly had an argument with the deceased boy and assaulted him with the plastic pipe when the mother was absent.
"The incident took place on 7th February this year. After the incident the main accuse had informed his lover and the mother of the deceased boy and asked them to come at his residence. When they came, he had shown them the body", police said.
The official said that both including the main accused and his lover made the mother promise to keep it secret. After that, the mother was sent to her parent's house.
The main accused has said that they shifted the body of the deceased boy in his car with the help of his love and threw away in an abandoned place near Baragur in Tamil Nadu.
However, the mother lodged a complaint with Mico Layout police in August to avoid suspicion. The police grew suspicious about the other two accused who accompanied her to the station to lodge the complaint. They kept a close watch on their movements and the main accused spilled the beans soon.
