New Delhi: The Indian Oil Corporation has announced a new common IVRS number for the Indane customers. The number will be activated from November 1. This would be the number to be called for booking Indane LPG refill cylinders.
The new booking number for LPG refills for the whole country is 7718955555. It is a unified facility for all the IOC's LPG consumers across the country and is a 24X7 service.
An official of IOC said, "It was a national tender and the new telecom provider has taken the bid and has chosen to provide a new number. We have urged the IOCL head office to hold onto the old number for sometime so that we can provide uninterrupted service to consumers."
The company has asked the distributors to inform the customers about the change in the booking number.
The LPG refill booking can be done through the customer's registered mobile number only. If the registered mobile number of the customer is in Indane's records, the IVRS will prompt the 16-digit consumer ID. The ID is mentioned on the customer's Indane LPG invoices/cash memos/subscription voucher. Once the consumer confirms the ID, refill booking would be accepted.
However, if the customer's mobile number is not registered with Indane records, then the customers should do the one-time registration of the mobile number by entering their 16-digit consumer ID. This will be followed by authentication in the same IVRS call. Upon confirmation, the mobile number of the customer would get registered and the LPG refill booking would be accepted.
