ODISHA: Odisha's girl named Sriya Lenka became India's first K- pop star. She had been chosen as a member of Blackswan which is a South Korean musical group of girls and she shall be debuting with the next album of Blackswan.
We all know about the BTS and the craziness erupted by the band K-Pop around the world. We see a large number of fan following for the music of K- Pop and people especially youngsters grooving to it. But today we shall bring to you an Indian girl's story as she had been chosen as a member of Blackswan and thus became India's first K- pop star.
Hailing from India's Odisha region, Sriya Lenka an 18-year-old girl has secured a position to become India's first K- pop star. A post from DR music, the record label of Blackswan informed that trainee members Sriya and Gabi were selected as members of Blackswan after their global audition was held for the last 6 months. And with their debut Blackswan would be back with the new album.
It is for the information to be known that Blackswan is a South Korean girl's musical group formed back in 2011 by the DR music company. It debuted formerly with the name 'Rania' in 2011 and then BP Rania back in 2016 with the album title 'Goodbye Rania'. At present the members consist of Go Young Heun, the lead Korean singer, Fatou Samba Belgium based Senegalese singer, Korean singer cum dancer Kim Da Hye and Brazilian- Japanese singer, Larissa Ayumi Cartes Sakata.
A company's post read, "'Cygnus', which means a constellation of swan, is a project to discover and to train trainees to become stars like the Cygnus. Sriya and Gabi are the first generation of Cygnus and will be introduced soon. Thank you for your interest and support. And the Cygnus project will continue in the future".
Sriya, who is now all set to debut in Blackswan, is also a trained Odissi dancer and started training professionally at the age of 12. We wish her good luck in this future endeavour.
