PM Modi, Home Minister Shah expresses their gratitude to the people of Bihar

Democracy has once again won in Bihar with the blessings of the people, says PM Narendra Modi

New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party has claimed victory in the Bihar elections 2020. Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to Twitter to congratulate the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) workers for their support. He said, "Democracy has once again won in Bihar with the blessings of the people."

PM Modi expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the people of Bihar for their support. He wrote:

Modi also said that every section of people of Bihar relied on NDA's mantra of 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas'. He said that they are satisfied that NDA got an opportunity to give new confidence to the people of Bihar.

Union Home Minister, Amit Shah also took it to Twitter to express his feelings on the victory of Bihar's election. He wrote: "Every section of Bihar has once again flagged the development of NDA by denying hollow politics, casteism and appeasement politics."

The BJP put up a stellar performance in the Bihar Assembly elections, leading the ruling NDA to obtain majority seats. The result was announced in the wee hours of Wednesday by the Election Commission of India. The NDA won an absolute majority in Bihar by winning 125 seats, three more than the number required for a simple majority. The BJP contested 110 seats, out of which it won 72 seats.

The Mahagathbandhan alliance, formed by the left parties fell short of 13 seats to reach the magic mark. However, the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) of the grand alliance emerged as the single largest party in the assembly bagging 75 seats.
