Bhubaneswar: Former MP, Pradip Majhi of Congress from Odisha is seen using an inflammatory language where he asked his party workers to set everything on fire.

"Keep petrol and diesel ready. The moment you get instruction set everything on fire. We'll see what happens next," Majhi was seen talking to someone over the phone. A video of him has been doing the rounds.

Majhi and his party had called a 12-hour strike in Nabarangpur district to protest police "inaction" in the rape and murder of a minor.

Majhi informed reporters that he had "no regret" over passing such instruction to party workers. "We have to adopt Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose policy when the government does not react over the rape and murder of innocent girls in this tribal-dominated district," he said.

"Though 13 days have passed since rape and murder of the minor girl, the police have not been able to get post mortem report. What are the doctors, the Home department and the government doing?" he added.

Majhi expressed "no regret" over his comments. "If I have to adopt violence to keep my mothers and sisters safe, I will not step back," he said.
