New Delhi: The cost of domestic LPG cylinders have been raised by Oil Marketing Companies by Rs 15 this month.

The price of a 14.2 kg cylinder has been increased by Rs. 15 without subsidy.

A domestic LPG cylinder in Delhi now costs Rs 899.50, an increase from the earlier price of Rs 844.50.

The Oil Marketing Companies revise the prices of LPG cylinders every month.

The change in the prices of the LPG cylinders in India is based on the exchange rate of the rupee against the dollar in addition to the global benchmark rate.

On September 1, the price of the LPG cylinders was raised by Rs 25 for the second time in one month. Prior to that, the price of the LPG cylinders was hiked by Rs 25 on August 17.

This development was made after the price of fuel was increased on Tuesday.

The cost of petrol and diesel witnessed a hike across all metropolitan cities on Wednesday once again. The price hike of petrol and diesel was the result of rising prices in international markets. This has taken the new prices to a record-breaking high.

In addition, the cost of a 5 kg cylinder has been fixed at Rs 502.

The new rates will come into effect from October 6.
