PANAJI: Goa Police should take a leaf out of the Maharashtra Police's investigation into the Sushant Singh Rajput death case and establish a detailed call trail of Kapil Jhaveri, who has been arrested in connection with a rave party, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) demanded on Wednesday.

Goa BJP spokesperson Dattaprasad Naik said that the police should track down the real 'Pablo Escobar' of Goa's drug trade, by thoroughly investigating the aide of a local politician who was also arrested on Tuesday in connection with the rave party in the beach village of Anjuna.

"Like the police established the phone trail while investigating the Sushant Singh Rajput case, by tracking Rhea Chakraborty's phone, police should also track down Kapil Jhaveri's call records and put the details in the public domain. People of Goa need to know which corrupt politicians Jhaveri was in touch with," Naik said during a press conference at the BJP's state headquarters. Naik said that the police should track down the real 'Pablo Escobar' of Goa's drug trade, by probing who arranges illegal drug-fuelled rave parties which are regularly held in Goa.

Twenty three persons, including three foreigners in possession of drugs, were arrested following a Crime Branch raid in the early hours of Sunday at a posh villa complex in Anjuna beach village, where the rave party was held. (IANS)
