Providing safe drinking water inescapable duty of government: Kataria

NEW DELHI: Stressing the severity of the crisis of paucity of clean and safe drinking water across the globe, Minister of Sate for Jal Shakti Rattan Lal Kataria has urged the BRICS Nations to learn from each other's valuable experience in handling this crisis as 2.2 billion people in the world struggle to have access to safe drinking water. While addressing an event, Kataria highlighted the role of BRICS Nations in resolving common problems like lack of access to safe drinking water and said providing safe drinking water to people is an inescapable duty of any government and also a Human Right as enshrined in UNGA resolution.
