PURI: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Saturday released the Sanskrit translation of the sacred Lakshmi Purana at the Central Sanskrit University, Puri, and said that the university has created its own identity in promoting the Sanskrit language.

Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said, “We expect that Sanskrit will work as the mother of all languages in the coming time. The Vedas are also written in this language. The Vedas mention medical treatment, law, politics, social science, history, and metrology. All of this knowledge is written in Sanskrit. The Sanskrit language has the power to give wisdom to the world.”

He further advised that teachers should aim to spread wisdom to society instead of aiming to become just high school teachers.

He was speaking at the inauguration of a three-day international seminar on ‘Lakshmi Purana’.

He laid the foundation stone for various developmental projects at Central Sanskrit University’s Sadashiv Campus in Puri. (ANI)
