Sarbananda Sonowal Visits Ayodhya To Offer Prayers, Yogi Adityanath Accompanies Him

The former Assam CM also delivered a speech in the presence of a huge crowd in Ayodhya. He also uploaded this speech in his official Twitter account.

Ayodhya: Union Minister of Ports, Shipping and Waterways Sarbananda Sonowal is the latest politician to visit the holy city of Ayodhya and offer his prayers at the Ramjanmabhoomi on 24 December.

The former Chief Minister of Assam was accompanied by the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The two leaders performed an 'aarti' to mark this occasion.

The Union Minister also took to his official Twitter handle to inform the masses about his visit.

Sonowal tweeted, "Jai Shri Ram! Blessed to have the Divya Darshan of Bhagwan Shri Ramlalla Virajman at the Shri Ram Janambhumi Mandir in Ayodhya with UP CM Shri Yogi Adityanath ji. May Lord Shri Ram bless us all with good health and happiness."

He met the UP CM in his residence in Lucknow. Sonowal praised Adityanath by saying that UP is scripting the success story of New India under his leadership.

The two senior leaders of the BJP will launch various developmental projects in the holy city.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also visited Ayodhya for a few days and performed several rituals in Ganga including taking a dip in the holy river.
