Seven Spine-Chilling Confessions By Aftab Amin Poonawalla In Shraddha Walker Murder Case

NEW DELHI: Seven spine-chilling confessions by Aftab Amin Poonawalla in the murder of Shraddha Walker, from burning the face to mincing the intestine, has horrified people.

Aftab Amin Poonawalla, the suspect in the gruesome murder of 26-year-old Shraddha Walker, has made some spine-chilling confessions, including one in which he acknowledged that he burned his live-in partner's face to hide her identity.

Poonawalla acknowledged during questioning that he had planned to kill Shraddha more than a week before he actually did it.

For the uninitiated, Poonawalla killed his fiancée on May 18 by strangling her, then dismembered her body into 35 pieces and dumped them throughout Mehrauli.

The confessions are -

1. "I had already decided to kill Shraddha more than a week before the murder. I argued with Shraddha even on that day. When she suddenly got emotional and started crying, I was ready to murder her. So I saved it for later," Aftab confessed, according to officials with the Delhi Police.

2. Charged Aftab admitted to the police that he burned Shraddha's face to hide her identity after slicing up her body.

3. He also admitted that he had looked up online how to get rid of a body after a murder. He scrubbed the floor with bleach and other chemicals to remove the blood.

4. He threw the entire body into the jungle, excluding the fingers, which he scattered in other directions.

5. He claimed that cutting his live-in partner's body into 35 pieces took him 10 hours.

6. Poonawalla acknowledged that he "flushed and minced Shraddha's intestines.

7. He claimed that on May 18, Aftab beat her before sitting on her chest and strangling her to death.

The accused will be presented today in the Saket Court. On the other hand, the investigators in the case claim that Aftab is not cooperating. He frequently modifies his statements.

He initially told the investigators that he had dropped the victim's phone somewhere in Delhi after throwing it away in Maharashtra, a source said.
