Sidhu Moose Wala's Last Rites To Be Performed Today

Chandigarh: Punjabi Singer Sidhu Moose Wala's body has been brought home and his last rites will be performed on Tuesday at 12:00 PM at his native village.

In a bid to pay last respects, a huge crowd gathered outside his home following which police closed the doors, and allowed only family members and close friends to enter.

As per media reports, the family has decided to perform the last rites at their ancestral agricultural land in Mansa district's Moosa village.

The Moose Wala's murder has sparked a huge political row in the state amid calls for dismissal of the Bhagwant Mann government as the government a day before the attack took away the security of Moose Wala.

He was shot dead on the evening of 29 May by gangsters near his native village in Mansa, Punjab. Moose Wala, 28, was traveling in his vehicle when the assailants opened fire at him and two of his friends.

He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was declared brought dead.

Sidhu Musewala was quite popular among the youth. His songs used to get millions of views and apart from singing; he was also active in politics.

On Monday Canada-based Goldy Brar and Lawrence Bishnoi had claimed the responsibility for Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala's murder.

Taking to the social media site Facebook, Goldy Brar, who is a close associate of Lawrence Bishnoi, claimed the responsibility for the attack on Sidhu Moose Wala.

"Sachin Bishnoi Dhattaranwali, Lawrence Bishnoi, and I are behind the killing of Sidhu Moose Wala," Brar said.
