NEW DELHI: The Delhi police informed on Friday that Siddhesh Hiraman Kamble, also known as Saurav or Mahakal, who got arrested by the police previously this week in Pune, had inducted two Maharashtra-based shooters into the Lawrence Bishnoi gang and had killed the Punjabi singer cum politician Sidhu Moosewala.

According to the police, Kamble said that he introduced the shooters to Bishnoi's helpmate, Vikram Brar, and then they were hired for 3 lakh each, where Kamble was reported that he got Rs. 50,000 for introducing them.

Special CP (Special cell), HS Dhaliwal informed the media that the police got the important information against four, out of the eight, who allegedly shot Sidhu Moosewala.

He said, "Mahakal was interrogated and he told police that he had introduced two Maharashtra-based shooters, Santosh Jadhav and Navnath Suryavanshi, to Brar".

Another senior police officer said, "Brar is currently in Canada. He was earlier working with the gangster Anandpal of Rajasthan, but after Anandpal was killed in an encounter, he joined Bishnoi's gang. More than two dozen cases are registered against Barad".

Dhaliwal informed the media that Moosewala's death was an organized and planned killing. He said the police had circulated eight photographs of the suspects, out of which six-shooters had been identified. And among them, the involvement of 4 people was noted to be associated with the shoot.

"Kamble was not directly involved in the attack on Moosewala. But as per the information we have received, he knew that Moosewala will be murdered as Vikram Brar had discussed Moosewala with him", a senior police officer of the Maharashtra Police said.

He puts forward that Mahakal was associated with Brar a week before the actual killing that took place on May 29.

Dhaliwal said that the Maharashtra police are already investigating the matter of Brar's involvement in a threat letter that was sent to Salman Khan and his father Salim Khan.

The police informed that Mahakal has also surrendered about Brar sending a letter to Salim Khan.

An officer informs, "Bishnoi had issued the letter to Salman Khan and his father Salim Khan. Three people from his gang had come from Jalore, Rajasthan, to Mumbai to drop off the letter and had met accused Mahakal".

As informed by Dhaliwal earlier, it was revealed that Bishnoi, who is now in Tihar jail, was the main culprit behind this plan of murder.

The official said, in order to avoid getting trapped by the investigating agencies, the gang members of Bishnoi used to communicate through an encrypted messaging app with each other and had used social media platforms and code words.

Right now, it is said that a team of Pune rural police is in Delhi to ask Bishnoi about the details of Santosh Jadhav, who is also said to be an accused related to a murder case in Pune, where the Maharashtra Control of Organized Crime Act (MCOCA) has been produced against him.

The official said that, apart from the information of Santosh Jadhav, Pune rural police also want to know whether any more youth of Maharashtra was connected with the Bishnoi gang.
