Guwahati: The family of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput has filed an FIR with Bihar Police against his rumored girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty and six others, including her family members, leveling a series of allegations such as "abetment of suicide."

Vikas Singh, former Additional Solicitor General, and lawyer of Krishna Kumar Singh, Sushant's father, said that the Mumbai Police has been attempting to derail the investigation over the actor's death.

He claimed that the Mumbai Police has not registered an FIR in and the case and was coercing the family to name some big production house and divert the case away from Rhea. On February 25, the family had even reported to the Bandra Police that the actor was not in good company, Singh further claimed.

The lawyer accused Rhea of trying to cut off Sushant from his family. The late actor's father had reportedly contacted the Bandra Police, fearing that "the actor was not in company." He further claimed that Rhea had gained control of Sushant's life by changing servants and bodyguards, took him to doctors, and got treatments without involving the actor's family. The lawyer alleged that the family has doubts that Sushant was on some heavy medications.

The family also alleged that Rhea siphoned money from the actor's account, reportedly to the tune of Rs 15 crores.

Singh informed that even the Bihar Police was initially reluctant to register an FIR in the case, the FIR was registered after the involvement of Bihar CM Nitish Kumar. He further said the family expects Rhea to be arrested.

Singh also claimed when Sushant wanted to shift to organic farming and shift to Coorg, Rhea was against the decision and left the late actor.

Patna (Central) City SP Vinay Tiwari said an investigation in the matter was ongoing. "FIR has been registered. Preliminary investigation has begun. It is not correct to say at this point of time who will be questioned. All those who were named by Sushant Singh Rajput's father in the FIR, have been booked," Tiwari stated.
