Tableau Titled "Ayodhya: The Cultural Heritage of Uttar Pradesh" Adjudged Best in R-Day 2021 Parade

Uttar Pradesh's tableau "Ayodhya: The Cultural heritage of Uttar Pradesh" won the first best award in Republic Day Parade in Delhi on Thursday

New Delhi: Uttar Pradesh's tableau – titled "Ayodhya: The Cultural heritage of Uttar Pradesh" and depicting the model of the proposed Ram Mandir (Ram temple) in Ayodhya was adjudged the best at the Republic Day 9 parade in Delhi on Thursday. The tableau depicts the cultural heritage of the ancient holy town Ayodhya, believed to be the birthplace of Lord Shri Ram, a model of a Ram temple, a glimpse of the festival 'Deepotsav' and various stories from Ramayana epic were.

According to reports, following the feat of the tableau, the state government is planning to bring it back from Delhi to Lucknow by road, passing through various districts so that the public could close look at the tableau.

Taking to the micro-blogging site Twitter Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, congratulate the people of Uttar Pradesh for the achievement.

He wrote in hindi, "गणतंत्र दिवस के अवसर पर प्रदर्शित उत्तर प्रदेश की 'अयोध्या: उत्तर प्रदेश की सांस्कृतिक धरोहर' नामक मनोहारी झांकी को देश में प्रथम स्थान प्राप्त होने पर सभी प्रदेशवासियों को हार्दिक बधाई।"

Up's information director Shishir said that the state received the trophy and certificate from Union Minister Kiren Rijiju at a function at Rashtriya Rangshala camp in New Delhi.

He further stated that Uttar Pradesh has created history winning prizes for two consecutive years. Last year the state received second prize while this year it was awarded the first prize.

Report says, out of all 32 tableaux,17 were from states and Union Territories (UT's), 9 from Union ministries, departments, and paramilitary forces, while 6 were from the defence ministry that was part of the parade on Rajpath this year.

Tripura's tableau was adjudged the second best that depicted promotion of eco-friendly tradition for achieving aatmanirbhar (self-reliance ) in socio-economic parameters while the tableau of Uttarakhand which themed 'Dev Bhoomi: The Land of the Gods' was adjudged third best, and the Central Public Works Department (CPWD),s tableau which themed 'Amar Jawan' managed to bag a special prize for paying tribute to the fallen heroes of the armed force.
