Telangana Minor Rape Murder Case: Suspect Found Dead On Railway Track

The man Pallakonda Raju’s dead body was found on the railway track by a team of police officials which was in search of him as he was at large for more than a week

HYDERABAD: A 30-year-old man, who was the suspect in the rape and murder of a minor girl in Saidabad, has been found dead under mysterious circumstances on a railway track near Ghanpur Station in Telangana's Jangoan district.

According to latest reports, the deceased man Pallakonda Raju's dead body was found on the railway track by a team of police officials which was in search of him as he was at large for more than a week.

A senior official told a news channel that they suspect the man committed suicide. As per eye-witnesses, the incident took place around 8:40am on Thursday when Raju came under the wheels of Hyderabad-bound Konark Express.

IT Minister KT Rama Rao have also shared about the incident on Twitter. Police had launched a manhunt to nab Raju and also announced a cash reward of Rs. 10 lakh for any information which would have helped the police to arrest him. Posters saying Raju as "Wanted" were pasted on auto-rickshaws, buses, wine stores and other public places as part of the police's manhunt regarding this case.

The minor girl had gone missing from her house in Saidabad on September 9. She was found dead at Raju's house after a few hours. Raju was the girl's neighbour. After the girl's post-mortem was done, it was confirmed that she was sexually assaulted and then strangled to death. The girl's mother suspected Raju to be the culprit as he was missing from his house after the matter came to light.
