Terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir: Two soldiers killed

The two Jawans were critically injured and reportedly died

Srinagar: Two Army soldiers were killed in the line of duty in a terror attack on an Army Quick Reaction Team (QRT) at Parimpora on the outskirt of the city on Thursday (November 26).

According to the police, the Amry QRT came under heavy firing from three terrorist who were travelling in a van this afternoon in Khushipora of Porimpora.

According to a media report a senior police officer was said, "Three terrorists started shooting at our Army soldiers. Two jawans were critically injured and reportedly died of injuries. Jaish-e-Mohammed has active movement here, by evening we will identify the group. Terrorists fled in a car and were armed. Two are probably Pakistani and one local."

The latest attack comes after four Jaish-e-Mohammed militants, were killed during an encounter with security forces in the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway near Nagrota who were hiding in a truck.

A search operation has already been launched to track them and Prime Minister Narendra Modi had praised security forces over the operation.
