Pune: Sudhakar Shinde, Joint Secretary, Department of Finance, Tripura died on Friday. He was suffering from COVID-19.
A 2015 batch IAS officer, Shinde succumbed passed away in Pune. The dynamic, 35-year old officer had gone to his native town, Nanded in Maharashtra on a 15-days break. He breathed his last when he was being taken to the hospital in Pune.
Chief Minister of Tripura, Biplab Kumar Deb condoled the death of the young officer and spoke to his family. In a Tweet, the Chief Minister said that he shocked to hear the sudden demise of one of the finest, gentle, and exceptional officers of the state. He calls it a big loss for Tripura.
The young, down-to-earth officer was brought to Pune's Ruby Hall Clinic on October 9. The medical director at the clinic, Dr. Sanjay Pathare said that his pulse was flat by the time he had reached the clinic. He said that the officer died of coronavirus before reaching the hospital. The efficient officer was first tested positive in his native home in Maharashtra.
According to data from Pune Municipal Corporation, 5873 new cases were recorded in Pune from October 2 to 8. Mumbai reported 2,289 cases on Friday, pushing the overall count to 2.25 lakh.
The total positive cases in Tripura is 4039. The overall death tally in Tripura is 310, as informed by the state health department. The recovery rate of the state is 85.05 %, and the fatality rate being 1.11 %.
