LUCKNOW: In the holy city of Ayodhya, a momentous event, the Deepotsav, is set to captivate onlookers from far and wide. Representatives from 41 nations, in conjunction with Governor Anandiben Patel and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, will converge to witness history unfold. This Deepotsav, spanning three days, promises an awe-inspiring spectacle as more than 21 lakh diyas will gracefully illuminate 51 ghats along the Saryu river, surpassing the previous record.

The District Magistrate, Nitish Kumar, extends a warm invitation, highlighting the city's readiness to welcome visitors. The breathtaking display will feature LED-studded replicas of the new Ram Temple lighting the revered "Dharma Path," accompanied by a mesmerizing light and sound show narrating the rich history of Ayodhya.

To engage a global audience, the Uttar Pradesh Tourism Department introduced the "Holy Ayodhya" app, allowing people worldwide to partake in this cultural extravaganza. By booking diyas in their names, individuals can contribute to the illumination, ranging from single diyas to sets, with options to receive blessed offerings post-event.

Excitement abounds, as the government anticipates a substantial increase in tourist footfall compared to the previous year's 2.21 crore Indian and 26,403 foreign visitors. The intricate arrangements, involving pouring oil into over 24 lakh diyas and engaging thousands of volunteers, are in place to ensure the success of this remarkable celebration.

Moreover, the Deepotsav is not just a one-time affair; it will culminate with the consecration ceremony of Lord Ram at the Ram temple on January 22. The event not only aims to set a new world record but also pays homage to the city's cultural and religious heritage.

In addition to the monumental lighting, seven gates showcasing chapters from the revered Ramcharitmanas have been erected on the Dharma Path, adding depth to the cultural narrative. Post-event, the light and sound show will continue, resonating the essence of Ayodhya's rich history.
