Uttar Pradesh: Mathura Police Cracks Case Of Woman In Red Suitcase

In a significant breakthrough, the Uttar Pradesh's Mathura police has cracked the case surrounding the mystery of body stuffed in a red suitcase.

NEW DELHI: In a major breakthrough in a mystery surrounding the recovery of the dead body of a 21-year of woman in a suitcase along the Yamuna Expressway, the Mathura police have successfully cracked it.

As per the police, 21-year-old Ayushi Yadav was shot by her father as he was against her marriage to a man belonging to a different caste. It was also added that the mother aided in disposing her daughter's body.

Initially the police were clueless about the case and formed 14 different teams to investigate. However, the breakthrough came when they were contacted by an informant in the national capital.

A student pursuing BCA degree, Ayushi resided in South East Delhi's Badarpur with her father Nitesh Yadav and mother Brijbala.

The police have seized Nitesh Yadav's licensed .32 calibre pistol, murder weapon in this case, which he had purchased in 2005.

The Police have stated that accused wrapped the victim's body in plastic, kept it inside a suitcase and later threw it along the Yamuna Expressway.

The body was recovered on November 18. Soon after that, the police started to search for the victim's identity by posting missing person notices and pamphlets in multiple locations besides uploading them on the social media.

During the interrogation of the parents, they revealed that their daughter had been away from home since a few days without informing them for which the father was enraged. They also stated before the police that Ayushi had married against her parent's wishes at an Arya Samaj temple.

Meanwhile, the Delhi Police has said that the victim got married in 2021 but they hid the information from her family for several months until around three months ago that when the couple registered their marriage with the registrar. The victim's family was opposed to it as the man is from a different caste.
