Guwahati: After the Supreme Court's order, the CBI has taken over the investigation of Sushant Singh Rajput's death case and Bollywood filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt's name has surfaced in the probe as a close associate of Rhea Chakraborty, the actor's rumored flame.
In a recent development, chats between the duo came to light, which reveals that the filmmaker had tried to contact Rhea on the day Sushant passed away.
As per official reports, Rhea Chakraborty had apparently informed filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt on June 8 that she was leaving her boyfriend, late actor Sushant Singh Rajput.
Mahesh Bhatt had reportedly asked Rhea to call him around 2:35 pm on June 14, post which he had also tried calling the actress but the calls went unanswered.
The report also informed that the day after the untimely demise of the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput ie on June 15, Mahesh Bhatt had sent Rhea a WhatsApp forward.
According to the screengrab of Rhea and Mahesh Bhatt's WhatsApp chat from June 8, the actress had messaged Bhatt, "Aisha moves on..sir..with a heavy heart and sense of relief." Aisha was the name of Rhea's character in 2018 release 'Jalebi', co-produced by Mahesh Bhatt.
She followed it up with messages that read, "Our last call was a wake-up call" and "You are my angel You were then And you are now". Mahesh Bhatt, responding to her texts, replied, "Don't look back. Make it possible what is inevitable" and "My love to your father. He will be a happy man".
