Wife Swapping Racket Busted In Kerala, 7 Arrested

According to an official statement from police, five accused were arrested by Karukachal police while two were held by Ernakulam police.

Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Police have arrested seven people from Kerala's Kottayam for their alleged involvement in a wife swapping racket.

Reportedly, the whole matter came to light after a woman filed a complaint from Pathanad village in Karukachal, wherein she stated that her husband forced her to intimate with other men.

Acting on her complaint, the police with the help of a cyber cell arrested seven persons from Ernakulam, Alappuzha, Kaloor in Ernakulam, Aymenam, and Kooroppada in Kottayam.

According to an official statement from police, five accused were arrested by Karukachal police while two were held by Ernakulam police.

The police further apprised that more arrests are likely to be made in a couple of days.

Notably, the police, said that around 1,000 couples are in these groups and they were exchanging women.

Meanwhile, the police further asserted that they are looking into every minute detail to ascertain that whether these group members have relationships with any other groups.
