you are an Indian citizen, you must know how important it is to have an Aadhaar
card. But what if your name is wrong in your cards. In such cases, errors in the name on Adhaar and PAN cards sometimes creates problem to an individual. But no
need to worry. This error can be rectified easily with a few simple steps.
Aadhaar is a 12 digit identification number issued by
the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) to every Indian in the
country. While the Permanent Account Number (PAN) is a 10-digit unique
identification number which contains details including name, date of birthday,
and photograph is valid for lifetime.
Even though any change in the address doesn't affect PAN
card, but if there is any problem with your name or if it's spelled differently
from your Aadhaar card, you might face difficulties in the future.
However, many times it happens that while applying for
Aadhaar card, due to some reason a wrong name got printed into the system for
that you have to face many inconveniences. At the same time, if you change the
name after marriage, then also you have to change the name entered in the
Aadhaar card.

The 12-digit number issued by the UIDAI works at the identity authentication and works as an address and ID proof. Hence, it's important to update the Aadhaar card completely as it serves as proof of identity and address.
