YouTube star Carryminati raises Rs 11 lakh for flood victims in Assam & Bihar

Ajey Nagar AKA Carryminati also donated Rs 1 lakh from his own pocket towards the Assam and Bihar flood victims

Guwahati: Ajey Nagar, the social media personality well-known for running the enormously popular YouTube channel 'Carryminati', has raised over Rs 11 lakh for the flood victims of Assam and Bihar. Out of this amount, he has donated Rs 1 lakh from his own pocket.

"Thank you each one of you who supported this noble cause and helped in gathering INR 10,31,137 for Assam & Bihar on the charity stream today. I will be adding INR 1,00,000 to this amount. I am proud of you all", Nagar wrote in a tweet, after the end of his livestream.

In the stream that was hosted for over 6 hours on his wildly popular YouTube channel, many of Naga's fans donated generous amounts. Rajesh Pasupuleti, who donated an amount of Rs. 15,555, emerged as the biggest donor yesterday night.

Carryminati had earlier informed that he would be streaming live from 7 pm on Sunday to raise money for the flood-ravaged states of Assam and Bihar. Sharing a poster of the charity stream, he tweeted, "Assam & Bihar needs us! Join my charity stream & show your support." Ajey, with 23.9 million followers on YouTube, is known for his inimitable comic skits and reactions to various topical issues on his channel CarryMinati on YouTube.
