Youtuber Arrested for Illegal Filming Inside 'Nidhivan Raj' in Vrindavan

On Sunday 14 November police arrested a YouTuber from Delhi for entering and filming inside 'Nidhivan Raj' in Vrindavan

NEW DELHI: Police arrested Gaurav Sharma, a content writer, and a YouTuber from Delhi for allegedly entering into the sacred place of 'Nidhivan Raj' in Vrindavan and recording video at the place.

On Sunday 14 November Gaurav Sharma was detained by police at his home in Delhi for capturing views inside 'Nidhivan Raj' during the night hours a week ago in Vrindavan, Uttar Pradesh.

According to Hindu belief 'Nidhivan Raj' is a place dedicated to Radha and Lord Krishna where Lord Krishna and his beloved Radha in the past performed a divine dance of love popularly called "Raas Lila" during the night hours, hence no one is allowed to enter to the holy place.

Gaurav Sharma runs a YouTube channel with the name Gauravzone of which he is the admin. SP (Superintendent of Police) of Uttar Pradesh said that Sharma has been taken into judicial custody and the authority is trying to arrest the associates of Sharma in connection with the case.

After being arrested during his interrogation with police, Sharma accepted that he had recorded the video at the 'holy' place on 6 November night in the company of his friends Mohit and Abhishek and cousin Prashant.

On Tuesday 9 November Sharma uploaded the captured video inside 'Nidhivan Raj' on his Youtube channel but later he deleted the video when pandits raised their voice against the shooting of a film inside such a 'holy place.

According to the sources, a pandit named Rohit Goshwami, the priest of Nidhivan Raj complaint against Sharma on the basis of which an FIR under section 66 of the IT (Information Technology) Act and section 295A of the IPC and was registered in Vrindavan police station.
