Krafton India: Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) Coming Back to India With 3-Months Trial

South Korea-based Krafton’s Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) to return India soon as govt likely to lift ban with strict govt rules for three months (90 days)

NEW DELHI: South Korea-based Krafton’s Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) was banned in India in 2022 due to security reasons, while popular PUBG mobile was also banned in India government banned several apps from China to protect national security.

Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) will be accessible for testing for three months (90 days), during which time authorities would rigorously "monitor the app to see if it violates India's rules." If authorities detect no wrongdoing throughout the trial period, the app will most likely be made available without limits.

On the other hand, BGMI will not be open to players 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, since there may be time limits and restrictions on playing hours.

According to reports, the game's developer assured the authorities that "no blood" or, at the very least, the blood color, would not be included. It's interesting to note that Krafton altered the color of blood in BGMI to green after the ban on PUBG Mobile. If the restriction is lifted, it's still unknown how the blood will be portrayed in BGMI.

According to an official notification, Krafton made an announcement, “We would like to express our deep appreciation and gratitude to the authorities for permitting us to restart the operations of BATTLEGROUNDS MOBILE INDIA (BGMI). KRAFTON, Inc. is a responsible South Korean organization that abides by the law and has put in place several measures to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.”

With 24 million concurrent viewers and 200 million total viewers, BGMI also boasts the distinction of being the first e-sports event to be televised on network television.

On the other hand, Rajeev Chandrasekhar, the Union Minister of State for Entrepreneurship, Skill Development, Electronics & Technology, has tweeted “This is a 3 month trial approval of #BGMI aftr it has complied wth issues of server locations n data security, etc.

We will keep a close watch on other issues of User harm, Addiction etc in next 3 months before a final decision is taken .”
