Dibrugarh, Dec 11: The 10th Dibrugarh Book Fair, 2017, that was organized by Milan Jyoti Sangha in association with All Assam Book Publishers and Sellers Organization, successfully concluded on Sunday. This year’s book fair that witnessed better participation from book sellers than the one held two years ago, was also marked by several cultural and interactive events spread across all 10 days, starting from December 1. On the last day of the book fair, a cultural programme titled Eti Sandhia Aamar Baabe was organized by Milan Jyoti Sangha. Held at the Chowkidinghee field, the book fair was able to attract not just the book lovers of Dibrugarh, but also of places as far as Lakhimpur, Dhemaji and Tinsukia.
The book fair was also graced by several lumiries including the renowned poet and former DGP of Assam Police, Harekrish Deka, and noted litterateur as well as former president of Axam Xahitya Xabha, Dr. gen Saikia. The dignitaries, with their wisdom, thoughts, and ideas, were seen striking a chord with the budding writers and poets, book lovers, as well as general public.
