Los Angeles, June 27:  Actors Ben Affleck and Matt Damon are reportedly in negotiations to produce a new movie about the high-profile FIFA scandal.

Warner Bros. has acquired the rights for “Houses Of Deceit”, an upcoming book by BuzzFeed investigative reporter Ken Bensinger, following an eight day bidding war.

The book is being considered the definitive account of former FIFA executive and General Secretary of Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Association Football Chuck Blazer’s involvement in the widespread corruption surrounding the soccer league.

Affleck and Damon are in talks to produce the film with their production company Pearl Street Films, based at Warner Bros., reports dailymail.co.uk.

Gavin O’Connor, who has previously helmed “Warrior” and “Tumbleweeds”, will be directing, while Anthony Tambakis will write the script. Also acting as producers through Entertainment 360 are Guymon Casady and Darin Friedman. IANS
