Golaghat DC reviews progress of development schemes

Golaghat, March 7: The District Development Committee meeting for the month of March was held at the conference hall of the Deputy Commissioner’s office. Deputy Commissioner Gaurav Bothra reviewed the progress of various development schemes and flagship programmes underway in the district. The Deputy Commissioner asked the Water Resources department to expedite work on all schemes and ensure completion before the onset of monsoon. Reviewing the schemes of the Agriculture department, the Deputy Commissioner asked the officials to create awareness on the benefits of cash crops among the farmers and also look into the issue of expediting loans to farmers under various schemes. The Deputy Commissioner also asked the Excise department officials to conduct regular raids to contain the illicit liquor business in the district. The Deputy Commissioner asked all departments to work earnestly and sincerely to meet the targets by the end of March.

District Development Commissioner, Banda Dutta Tamuly, CEO, Zila Parishad, PK Sharma, Additiol Deputy Commissioners, Amarjyoti Barman and Utpal Doley, SDO (C) Dhansiri, Bipul Das, Senior Planning Officer, Gautam Hazarika and other senior district administration officials and heads of various departments were present in the meeting.
