DHUBRI, Nov 7: Around 75 students from various schools of Dhubri district left for Guwahati in two buses for educatiol tour under the four-day Gyanjyoti programme on Tuesday. The tour was flagged off by Dhubri Deputy Commissioner Ant Lal Gyani at PC Barua Maidan amid the presence of teachers, parents and guardians.
Speaking on the occasion, Gyani, while wishing them a successful educatiol trip, called upon the students to be disciplined and sincere and appealed to them to take part in the inter-district competitions with full enthusiasm that would be held during the tour programme.
During the tour programme, students will be taken to the places of historical, religious and tourist interest in Guwahati, including Srimanta Sankardev Kalakhetra. A magistrate, physician, food inspector, security officials and three assistant teachers, were also entrusted to look after the students and conduct the tour programme successfully.
Additiol Deputy Commissioner Pallab Mazumdar, Dhubri Inspector of Schools, Saju Kumar Yadav and Dhubri district information and public relation officer Bikash Sarma also attended the flagging-off ceremony.
