Itagar, June 10: The Hydro Power Development Corporation of Aruchal Pradesh Limited (HPDCAPL) has resolved to take over some mini/micro hydel projects installed and commissioned by Aruchal Pradesh Energy Development Agency (APEDA) and department science and technology for commercial exploitation which has not been tried before by either of the latter departments.
The decision was made during HPDCAPL's 23rd Board of Director (BOD) meeting which was held under the chairmanship of corporation chairman Tungri Effa here on Thursday last.
It was also decided that the corporation shall completely reform its present organization structure for optimal utilization of its resources so as to make the corporation a profit making firm. For this, the HPDCAPL shall hire an expert consultant through EOI and RFP immediately for preparation and submission of organization restructuring report for further implementation. Furthermore, the corporation, which is presently running with limited staff, shall source its manpower requirement through recruitment and deputation from other departments/organizations immediately on need basis to cope the work demand. The house also decided that corporation shall create a skill development division so as to impart training to rural youths of Aruchal Pradesh under the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yoja (DDU-GKY) scheme.
Besides chairman Effa, the meeting attended by board directors Ashish Kundra, commissioner (Power and Hydropower), Toko Onuj, maging director, HPDCAPL, Jummer Kamdak, CE (WZ and Monitoring), Okep Taying, joint director (State Planning) and Mara Kocho, IES, DGM HPDCAPL.
