Lanuakum Ao from Nagaland features in 'The Last Hour' on Amazon Prime

Mumbai: Lanuakum Ao is an actor from Nagaland who has gained popularity after his appearance in the Amazon Prime web series 'The Last Hour'. He is playing the character of 'Thapa' in the series.

Lanuakam Ao hails from a small village called Longsa village in Mokokchung. He has previously acted in the movie 'Axone' directed by Nicholas Karkhongor.  
The Amazon Prime series, The Last Hour also stars Sanjay Kapoor, Raima Sen, Karma Takapa, Shayleen Krishen, and Shahana Goswami in the main roles. The series has a 7.9 rating on IMDb.
The storyline of the series is like this: Sanjay Kapoor plays the role of a Mumbai cop who gets assigned to a new murder case after his return to the Northeast.
Meanwhile, a couple of locals are shown to be on a run, and one of them is an archer in the wilderness. As the story proceeds the Mumbai cop and his team is seen investigating the case which leads to them chasing a wild shaman. The cops find leads to a series of murders and sexual assaults in the name of supernatural magic as the story progresses. The stage is set for the antagonist
The entire series is more about the world of shamans and not just cops which can be seen from the first episode. Yama Nadu (Robin Tamang) and his close associate Thapa (Lanuakum Ao) are seen to be on a quest to claim Dev's superpowers.
Lanuakum Ao is also a part of an Ao Naga film, 'Vendetta', and a part of the Amazon Original's International Project, NSR: The Jade.
According to reports, Lanuakum will also be seen in the upcoming feature film, which also stars Ayushman Khurrana. The film will be directed by Anubhav Sinha.
