BONGAIGAON, August 16: NTPC Bongaigaon on the occasion of 70th Independence Day felicitated meritorious students of surrounding villages as part of ‘NTPC Utkarsh Merit Scholarship’ for students of Class X and Class XII, stated a press release. For this year a total number of 16 school students were identified in General, SC/ST, women and physically challenged category for felicitation. Each student was given a cash reward of Rs 3,000 and Certificate of Merit. The scholarships were presented by Utpal Chakrabarti, GGM, NTPC Bongaigaon and ndini Chakrabarti, president, Bardwi Shikla Ladies Club. The programme also included patriotic songs and dances performed by children of Ankur Tiny Tots School and Bal Bhawan.
