Bharti Airtel and Reliance Jio have been aggressively deploying extra spectrum acquired in recent auctions across India's states and circles. Bharti Airtel, India's second-largest telecom operator, has increased its spectrum deployment in Assam. Users will benefit from improved network performance as more spectrum is deployed across the state.

In Assam, Bharti Airtel has added 10 MHz to the 2300 MHz frequency range. Airtel now has a total of 73.45 MHz of spectrum across multiple bands throughout the state, including the 2300/2100/900/800 bands, thanks to the deployment of new spectrum.

Because no other telecom provider in the state has thus much spectrum, Bharti Airtel is in a unique position to provide the greatest services to clients in the region. In Assam, Airtel users will benefit from improved network services, connection, and Internet speeds.

Not only that, but with a large spectrum portfolio in the region, the telecom operator has enhanced its position to offer 5G services in the state. Let's take a look at some more areas where Airtel has just added spectrum.

The telco stated yesterday that it would deploy 10 MHz of spectrum in the 2300 MHz band in Gujarat. It increased the telco's overall spectrum holdings in the state to 70 MHz across numerous bands.

Additional spectrum was also deployed by the telco in Kerala, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu. Airtel used 15 MHz of spectrum in Kerala (5 MHz in 1800 MHz band and 10 MHz in 2300 MHz band).

The telco used 11.2 MHz of spectrum in Karnataka, all in the 1800 MHz band. Finally, Bharti Airtel only used 5 MHz of spectrum in the 1800 MHz band in Tamil Nadu. The telco is demonstrating that it is focusing on other portions of India, not simply the southern region, with its latest deployments.

Bharti Airtel is strengthening its spectrum portfolio in order to exploit it as quickly as possible to provide seamless 5G services.
